God looked at His creation and said everything is good, all are very good. Moses said an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth while Jesus said forgive and be forgiven. So which is right, to get justice or to forgive. They are both right. They both follow the rule of doing to others what you want others do to you. What makes one better than the other is just preference. If you choose to get justice whenever you are hurt by others then you are saying it is ok if God punish you for your mistakes. On the other hand if you choose to forgive others when you are hurt by them, you are saying to God that you do not want to pay for your mistakes. The thing is you cannot have both justice and forgiveness at the same time. It is either you choose to get others to pay for their mistakes against you or you choose to not get punished for the mistakes you make to others. You cannot both be forgiven for your sins and also get justice for the sins others had done to you. If you say you want justice then you are not forgiving others and thus will not be forgiven of your own sins. If, on the other hand, you say you want to be forgiven of your own sins then you will not get to punish others for the wrong they had done to you for if you forgive them then they do not have to pay therefore you will not get justice.
